Land Directions for automobiles are as follows:

From Westchester: Follow Rt 287West Rt 87N and cross the Tappan Zee Bridge. Take exit 10 and follow the signs for Rt 9W South. Approximately 2 miles on 9W look for sharp left fork off the road and the sign to Piermont Business district. At the 2nd stop sign go straight onto Hudson Terrance. Turn right at the next corner onto Bay Avenue. At the stop sign at bottom of the hill turn left. The sign for Tappan Zee Marina and Lighthouse-on-the-Hudson Restaurant is on the right. Pull into the parking lot and locate the Tappan Zee Marina Office in the building on the right side of the parking lot.

From New Jersey: Use Rt. 80 East and exit at Ft Lee, NJ. Follow the signs through Ft Lee to the Palisades Parkway North. The entrance is on the right just after intersection by the Gas Station. Take exit 4, which is Rt 9W North. After the Rockland Country Club, turn right onto Rockland Road (also the way to Tallman Mountain State Park) Continue past the park and down the hill. At the stop sign, turn right onto Ferdun Avenue. Continue through the traffic signal and the town. TZM is approximately ½ mile north of the Village of Piermont on the right side of the road. Pull in the parking lot before the Tappan Zee Marina & Lighthouse-on-the-Hudson restaurant sign. The TZM office & ships’ store are located in the building on the right.

From Upstate New York: Use 87 South and exit Nyack and Rt 9W BEFORE crossing the Tappan Zee Bridge. Follow Rt 59 East to intersection of Rt 9W. Turn right (9W south) and follow directions above as in the Westchester section.

By Water To Tappan Zee Marina --(N 41.02.782, W73.54.931)
From the North: TZM is approximately 2 miles south of the bridge. Proceed south and cruise underneath the main span of the Tappan Zee Bridge then turn right and head approximately 230 degrees. Enter TZM along the north side of the mooring field and the north wall and proceed to the gas dock and find a staff member.

From the South: TZM is approximately 13 miles north of the George Washington Bridge and on the west shore. As you cruise up the Hudson River, you will see a landmass on the west shore called the Piermont Pier. Cruise North of the Pier (DO NOT ENTER TZM or cruise toward the shore until you are approximately 3/4th of a mile north of the Pier) When you have the pier well behind and are north of the mooring field of sailboats then you can head towards the shore. Enter Tappan Zee Marina property along the north wall and proceed to the gas dock for assistance.
